Contract Awarded to McLean by Rukert Terminals Corporation
November 2006

After several years of planning and design, Rukert Terminals Corporation has made the decision to reconstruct their Lazaretto Point (Canton - Baltimore) Berth B.  The design, by Moffatt & Nichol Engineers, includes a very heavy-duty combination wall bulkhead which not only replaces the existing relieving platform but extends the usable berth to more than 900 feet.  The deck is designed to accommodate Rukert's heavy cargo handling cranes and Ro-Ro operations.  McLean Contracting was fortunate to be awarded the contract for the work, which also includes demolition and dredging. Construction of this large project will take approximately twenty months to complete.  The award of this project is the latest in a long association between McLean Contracting Company and Rukert Terminals Corporation dating back to Job number M-78 in 1938.
